Key Advantages of a Waterbed TodayTodays waterbeds can offer you important benefits:* Total body and back support * Minimal surface pressure for greater comfort * Improved blood circulation whilst you sleep * A genuinely hygienic surface * Controlled sleeping temperature * Relief from arthritis, rheumatism & backache * Remarkable durability These qualities are essential for a superior sleeping environment Styles of WaterbedsThere are basically two styles; rigid-frame beds and the more modern soft-sided divan beds. The rigid-frame beds were the original waterbeds. The frame acts as the main support for the vinyl mattress and becomes part of the bedroom furniture. The frame is often made from natural woods such as pine. If you require an oak or cedar wood frame, we can adjust your order accordingly . We can also provide painted MDF (medium density fibreboard) or upholstered boards. The frame usually rests on a deck and plinth which supports the whole of the bed. The depth of mattress within a standard rigid-frame bed is 9" (23cm).The soft-sided divan beds were developed to fit within existing bedroom furniture. They look very similar to conventional beds and as their name suggests they have a cushioned surround that allows you to sit comfortably on the edge of the bed. Modern designs combine comfort, support and hygiene of traditional waterbeds with the convenience and easy bed-making of conventional beds. The depth of mattress within a standard soft-sided divan bed is 8" (20cm).Hardside MatressesHere are a sample of our most popular hardside waterbeds. All are available in single, double, queen and king size.
